Meet the management team at Gear Motions! These are a few of the people responsible for bringing you precision gears of the highest quality:

SAMUEL R. HAINES, CHAIRMAN

After graduating with a MBA from Babson College, Sam joined the company in 1973. He was crucial in acquiring Oliver Gear and Nixon Gear, as well as developing a national sales and marketing program. In 1980, Sam moved to Syracuse to assume the management of Nixon Gear as Vice President and General Manager. After strong success and expansion, Sam became President of Gear Motions in 1985. In 2005 Sam became Chairman and assumed the role of CEO/CFO. Following 44 years of service, Sam retired from his role as CFO at the end of 2017. He remains Chairman of the Board of Directors.

DEAN BURROWS, PRESIDENT & CEO, GEAR MOTIONS

Dean joined the Gear Motions Team in 2008 as President of Nixon Gear. Dean graduated with a Master’s in Engineering Management and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He previously served as Vice President of Operations for Marietta Corporation in Cortland and Director of Global Supply Chain for Carrier Corporation, a Division of United Technologies. Dean brings to Gear Motions over twenty-five years of operations experience from various industries including automotive, medical device and consumer products. In 2013, Dean assumed the role of President of Gear Motions.

PAUL ANDRUSZKO, VICE PRESIDENT, BUFFALO OPERATIONS

Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. Paul was hired by Niagara Gear in 1988 as a Manufacturing Engineer and has served in various progressive​ roles throughout the years. Prior to being promoted to Vice President, he most recently served as General Manager and Operations and Engineering Manager. Paul’s knowledge and experience in gear design and manufacturing gained through 32 years in industry has assisted many of our customers in bringing their new gear designs to market. Prior to joining Niagara Gear, he served as an Experimental Test Engineer for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, a Division of United Technologies in East Hartford, Connecticut.

DAN BARTELLI, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, NIXON GEAR

Dan began his career at Nixon Gear in 1988 as a machinist where he distinguished himself as a quick learner and hard worker. He worked in a number of departments, and before long was promoted to Lead Machinist. From the shop, Dan moved to Customer Service where he demonstrated a natural talent for outstanding customer care. It was here that Dan established his skill for scheduling and planning and was promoted to Master Scheduler. In 2010 Dan was promoted to Manufacturing Manager and most recently in 2018 to Director of Operations.
