Gear Motions, Inc., a successful, growing, employee-owned company is seeking a Part Time Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our team! This position is responsible to create, update, and maintain tools to drive sales at Gear Motions. Through use of electronic media, website inquiries, and personal outreach, this position will seek to secure new business opportunities for Gear Motions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain Company website to ensure web pages are accurate, current, and effective.
  • Follow customer sales and marketing trends by entering prospects into our Global Shop database and analyzing data. Also be aware of sales and marketing trends in the power transmission industry.
  • Measuring and evaluating sales productivity to determine areas in need of improvement.
  • Identify, investigate, and determine new market opportunities for Gear Motions.
  • In conjunction with Company President and outside vendors, develop and maintain social media platform for the Company by coordinating social media campaigns and managing all social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
  • Create and implement e-mail campaigns and coordinate e-mail programs in all Company markets.
  • Develop a strategic market direction to guide decision making in regard to possible future acquisitions.
  • Act as a liaison with outside advertising agency.
  • Develop, manage, and continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction. Maintain understanding of current customer market conditions.
  • Develop sales materials, place ads with various media.
  • Develop/initiate short and long-term plans to meet Sales and Marketing Department objectives.
  • Participate effectively in Department/Company problem solving.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Ensure follow up on sales leads and calls on potential customers. Must speak in a clear and pleasant manner. Exercise decision making skills to direct caller’s requests and accurately maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to interact well with others through good listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills for constant effective internal and external communication ensuring optimum productivity. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Reading ability sufficient to understand requests for quotation, read blueprints, company documents, and work instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in written form.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the Company’s manufacturing and delivery capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the computer system; ability to learn and use company programs and website analytics is essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including word-processing and data base functions, e-mail software and the use of the Internet.
  • Excellent organization evaluation and priority setting skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years sales and marketing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
