The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) has presented their Lifetime Achievement Award to Sam Haines, Chairman of Gear Motions, Inc.
According to AGMA, “This award is presented to someone who has demonstrated dedication and leadership for the advancement of the gear industry and AGMA, exemplified superior vision and exceptional knowledge that has been shared with colleagues and achieved admiration and respect of peers.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Sam during his retirement celebration on Sunday, May 7, 2018, in Syracuse, NY. At this special event, Sam was surrounded by family and friends celebrating his long career and many contributions to Gear Motions and the gear industry.
“Sam has been an instrumental part of growing the gear industry and ensuring that its future is promising,” said Matt Croson, President of AGMA. “His dedication on AGMA’s Board of Directors and the AGMA Foundation Board led to the first education grants, creating some of the most popular and widely-used education courses today. We are grateful for all that Sam has done for AGMA and the industry.”
