At Gear Motions, we’re proud to say that all of our gears and gear products are Made in America. We couldn’t think of a better way to show our pride than to create an American flag out of gears manufactured right here in Syracuse, NY, USA.
If you were among the thousands of attendees to the Motion + Power Technology Expo in Detroit this year, you may have seen our gear flag in person. In fact, if you visited our booth, it was hard to miss. The flag was created using 305 custom made gears, painted and arranged to represent America’s iconic stars and stripes.
From the inspiration of our employee owners, the flag was designed and created by a team of employee owners at Gear Motions’ Nixon Gear Division. The talented team includes Ron Rafferty and RJ Rafferty (pictured below), Joe Burrows, Dan Sierotnik, Jeff Rynders and Harley Everson.
Now, the flag is back home and will be put on permanent display on the manufacturing floor at Nixon Gear. The flag is a great reminder for all of our Made in America pride and of our commitment to provide quality through precision in all of our precision gear manufacturing processes.
