U.S. Congressman John Katko recently paid a visit to Gear Motions’ Nixon Gear Division in Syracuse, NY. Katko represents New York’s 24th District in the United States House of Representatives.
During his visit, Rep. Katko recognized Nixon Gear for celebrating 100 years in business through the presentation of a congressional certificate. The company’s official anniversary celebration will be on November 17, 2020.
Katko’s visit to Nixon Gear highlights his on-going support of manufacturing in Central New York. In fact, the Congressman participated in a press conference with MACNY, MANUPAC, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce who jointly announced their endorsement of John Katko for Congress from the company’s parking lot.
Rep. Katko was also led on a tour of Nixon Gear’s precision gear manufacturing facility by Dean Burrows, President & CEO of Gear Motions, and Dan Bartelli, Director of Operations of Nixon Gear, also accompanied by Randy Wolken, President & CEO of MACNY.
